March Movies releases

There are quite a few movies to check out this coming March. I've included the official trailers for most of them. Hansel and Gretel: Vampire Hunters was scheduled to be released in March, but was pushed forward to 2013. Oh well, we've got plenty of movies to watch in the meantime.

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax (March 2) - As long as Jim Carey isn't in this Dr. Seuss movie, I'm happy to watch it.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters moved to Jan 2013

John Carter - (March 9) Try to get some reading in beforehand. I'm sure the John Carter novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs are much better than the movie will be, but I love seeing fantastical lands and creatures on the large screen so I'm often very forgiving.

The Raven (March 9) - After all this time we still love John Cusack don't we? I would say, "Yes, EverMore". Lets see how he does as Edgar Allan Poe, solving mysteries that we'll recognize from his books.

Silent House (March 9) - this movie is based on Uruguayan horror film, La Casa Muda, shot in a single take. You will have to tell me how it is, because I just can't watch horror movies. They scare the crap out of me.

Mirror Mirror (March 16) - there will be a couple of Snow White movies  coming out this year, one more dark and intense than the other. The first seems to be quite fun and features Julia Roberts as the Evil Stepmother! Snow White is played by Phil Collins daughter, Lily Collins, doing the Jennifer Connelly big eyebrow thing that guys seem to love.

I'll include the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsmen for comparison, even though it doesn't come out until the summer. It looks pretty awesome, except for the disappointment of seeing Kristen Whatshername play Snow White:

The Hunger Games (March 23) - I have read the first two books, soon to read the third. This rash of young adult novel based movies is making me itch to write a YA novel myself...and make millions.

Wrath of the Titans (March 30)- Ahhhh, Sam! But where is Bubo? As a huge original Clash of the Titans fan, I was sorely disappointed by Bubo's lack of screen time in the first installment of this series. I can only dream that he gets his moment in the spotlight in this film. Still, I'm a sucker for films about Greek Gods and Monsters. I will probably love it, no matter what.
